Update from ASIA TEAM

China_Rice_Terraces_-_Guangxi

UPDATE FROM THE TEAM IN ASIA:

The past 6 days have been such a whirlwind as we have been given amazing opportunities & frequent divine appointments!

We have been shown great hospitality in every city, with wide varieties of food, friendships, & fellowship with faithful believers!

So far we have met a pastor who had been imprisoned for his faith for
20 years & and now has an underground church of over 3000 believers!

We then took an overnight train to an underground Bible College & on the way we had the privilege to lead a man to the Lord, give him a New Testament, and contact with a local fellowship. God is so good!

After teaching for the past two days at the UG Bible College, we have now arrived at an additional bible school to teach our Father's word!

Thank you for all your prayers and support as we experience his faithfulness!

Danny

Jesus DNA

"We have Jesus' DNA" - We've exchanged these words more than most. I believe, years from now, the "coining" of this phrase will have been traced back to these travels in South Korea. Whether American or Korean, young or old, with Christ as our Lord, we are one. The blood of Christ has completely de-constructed every wall between us and the believers here. For some, it's only been a few days, but it seems as if we've known each other for decades. We are one. We are family. We have Jesus' DNA.

You've heard it said, "if words could only express". This is an appropriate time to use this figure of speech. We look at our brothers and sisters here (some more like fathers and mothers; some more like grandparents) and often, have to hold back the tears. These are tears of joy. There's a purity and selflessness in these relationships that We've never encountered before. We are humbled and broken by the love we've been given & shown. It's hard to receive sometimes because it's so good. The inner-most being of our souls cry out, "unworthy"; which couldn't be more true. All-the-more, we are reminded of God's grace.
We have traveled here with the anticipation to give but it seems as if our arms have been full from perpetually receiving. We can never out-give our Father.

The out-working of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit has defied any "model" that could have been written in any book. We have learned that "Spiritual Mathematics" operate differently in God's economy. What we place value on isn't always what the Lord places value on. Remaining in the flow of the Holy Spirit's current has simultaneously been peaceful and powerful.

We have countless testimonies of the Lord touching the lives of individuals. One man was moved to tears as we sang Amazing Grace as a birthday gift to him. A college-aged girl stood in the shadows as we sang and spoke on her campus. When she was approached she confessed that she knew Jesus was the Truth but had been running from Him. "Prodigal" was the title she attributed to herself. Yet, when she heard our proclamation through music and preaching she had been convicted and convinced that Jesus was the only Way. And of course, the silent clinging hugs of many orphans was the response of Matthew 25:35-36. Again, the testimonies are countless; these are but a glimpse.

We have also quickly realized that our leader, Yung (a.k.a. Momma), is truly "something else". The Lord has blessed us with our own spiritual "Mr. Miyagi"! The depths of spiritual wisdom this lady has shared with us has literally left our jaws laying on the floor. Truly she is one of the clearest models of Jesus that we have ever seen (not to mention a virtuous woman).

In addition, we have witnessed a true miracle! We ran into some unforeseen difficulties that would have eliminated what we had planned for the second half of our trip. We have to be careful what we mention, but it should suffice to say that the Lord is still capable of bringing down the border walls of "Jericho" with much prayer. Truly an "impossible" situation that the Lord overcame. We will testify of this miracle for the rest of our lives; we will share more as we return home.

Due to the strength of the immediate bond that the Lord has given us with many of these precious people, it has been difficult to say goodbye when we move to a different location. It serves as a reminder of our great love for those of you back home. We look forward to our eventual reunion with you all when we can share in more detail all that the Lord has done. Please continue to keep us before the Lord in prayer. Thank you for your faithfulness.

We have arrived in South Korea!

Flight went just fine! We all slept at the perfect times so hopefully the jet lag won't be so bad.
We are all so excited! Things are great, and everything went according to plan. We had to check our guitars which was scary, but hopefully they will be just fine ha. We are all passing around book "That they all may be one" by K. P. Yohannan. It's about unity on the field. It's my turn to read next! Pray that the Father binds us up in unity!

Thank you all for speaking to our Father on our behalf! Love you all!
